After a busy day of events with children in Tower Hamlets, Anthony was a special guest at a reception to celebrate World Book Day at 10 Downing Street!
Anthony went along to the reception with Booktrust staff, as well as Gillian Harris, Head of Tower Hamlets Library Services.

After an introduction from Sarah Brown - who commented on how popular Anthony’s books are with her own children – Anthony spoke to an audience of authors and representatives from the publishing and literature education sector about the power of picture books, and the importance of encouraging children to enjoy reading books of all kinds.

From Chile, Valparaiso: I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Anthony on his visit to Chile. He is a very warm and fun person. It was very cordial to answer any questions we did. Thank you for coming to Chile and spend time with us.
