Urgum and the Goo Goo Bah

    By Kjartan Poskitt

    Published by Scholastic

Urgum the Axeman is the fiercest savage the Lost Desert has ever known. He and his rough, tough barbarian sons like nothing better than a fight to the death with plenty of gore and gruesomeness.

How surprising then that Urgum should make such a good foster father to an abandoned baby boy who turns up on his cavestep. No one knows who the baby belongs to but when he is kidnapped by Troggyls and hidden away underground, Urgum and his compatriots brave untold dangers to rescue him.

Philip Reeve's black-and-white illustrations complement the off-beat, quirky humour in this latest Urgum adventure which will appeal to both boys and girls.
